Link Review: Elements, Compounds, and Mixtures

http://www.chem.purdue.edu/gchelp/atoms/elements.html

This web site gives an easy and straightforward break-down of what elements, compunds, and mixtures are and what makes them different, For example: while an element consists of only one kind of atom, a compound consists of atoms of two or more different elements bound together, and a mixture is two or more different elements and/or compounds physically intermingled. My favorite feature of this site is its moving graphics of the microscopic view of various atoms and molecules-- like toy balls flying and colliding in the air together.
